Thebladecontrolswitch,representedbyapowertake-off
(PTO)symbol,engagesanddisengagespowertothemower
blades.Thisswitchcontrolspowertoanyattachmentsthat
drawpowerfromtheengine,includingthemowerdeckand
cuttingblades.
EngagingtheBlades
Important:Donotengagethebladeswhenparkedin
tallgrass.Beltorclutchdamagecanoccur.
Note:Alwaysengagethebladeswiththethrottleinthe
Fastposition.

1.Disengagethebladesbymovingthebladecontrol
switchtoOff.
2.Movethethrottlelevertobetweenthehalfandfull
throttleposition.
3.TurntheignitionkeytoOffandremovethekey.
Driving
Drivingthemachinebenetsfromanunderstandingof
whatzeroturnradiusmowermeans.Thedrivewheelsturn
independently,poweredbyhydraulicmotorsoneachaxle;
henceonesidecanturninreversewhiletheotherturns
forwardcausingthemachinetospinratherthanturn.This
vastlyimprovesthemachinemaneuverabilitybutmayrequire
someadjustmentiftheoperatorisunfamiliar.
WARNING
Themachinecanspinveryrapidly.Theoperator
maylosecontrolofthemachineandcausepersonal
injuryordamagetothemachine.
Usecautionwhenmakingturns.
Slowthemachinedownbeforemakingsharp
turns.
Thethrottlecontrolregulatestheenginespeedasmeasured
inrpm(revolutionsperminute).Placingthethrottlecontrol
intheFastpositioncanbebestforperformance.Formost
applications,operatinginthefullthrottlepositionisdesirable.
