Themowerdeckmustbecheckedforbentbladespriorto
leveling;anybentbladesmustberemovedandreplaced.Refer
totheCheckingforBentBladesprocedurebeforecontinuing.
Themowerdeckmustbeleveledside-to-siderstthenthe
fronttorearslopecanbeadjusted.
Requirements:
•Themachinemustbeonalevelsurface.
•Allfourtiremustbeproperlyinated.RefertoChecking
theTirePressureintheDriveSystemMaintenance
section.
LevelingtheMowerfromSide-to-Side
Themowerbladesmustbelevelfromsidetoside.Checkthe
side-to-sidelevelanytimeyouinstallthemowerorwhenyou
seeanunevencutonyourlawn.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengagethe
bladecontrolswitch.
2.Movethemotioncontrolleversoutwardtothepark
position,stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitfor
allmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
3.Checktheairpressureofallfourtires.Ifneeded,adjust
totherecommendedination;refertoCheckingthe
TirePressureintheDriveSystemMaintenancesection.
4.Settheheight-of-cutlevertothe3inch(76mm)
position.
5.Carefullyrotatetheblade(s)sidetoside(Figure56).
Measurebetweentheoutsidecuttingedgesandthe
atsurface(
Figure56).Ifbothmeasurementsarenot
within3/16inch(5mm),anadjustmentisrequired;
continuewiththisprocedure.

wrenchtomanipulatetheeccentricplate.Usethe

adjustitsothatthemeasurementstakeninstep5are
within3/16inch(5mm).
8.Stopthedeckattheadjustedpositionandtightenthe
sidelockingnutonthehangerbrackettoholdthenew
position(Figure57).Tightentherearlockingnuton
thehangerbracket.
9.Continuelevelingthedeckbycheckingthefront-to-rear
bladeslope;refertoAdjustingtheFront-to-RearBlade
Slope.
