Why does my Toro TimeCutter SS 5000 engine lose power?

The engine may lose power due to several reasons: * Reduce ground speed if the engine load is excessive. * Clean the air cleaner element if the air cleaner is dirty. * Add oil to the crankcase if the oil level in the crankcase is low. * Remove the obstruction from the cooling fins and air passages if the cooling fins and air passages under the engine blower housing are plugged. * Install a new, correctly gapped spark plug(s) if the spark plug(s) is pitted, fouled, or the gap is incorrect. * Replace the fuel filter if there is dirt in the fuel fliter. * Drain the tank and replace the fuel with the proper type if there is incorrect fuel in the fuel tank.
