replaceit.
•Ifthelterisdirty,tapitonahardsurfaceseveral
timesorblowthedebrisoutwardfromtheinterior
ofthelterusingcompressedairatlessthan207
kPa(30psi).
Note:Donotbrushorblowdirtfromtheoutside
ofthelter;eitherforcesdirtintothebers.
3.Cleantheairlterbodyandcoverusingadamprag.

5.Installthecoverandscrewthefastenerdownsecurely.

1.Ensurethatthefueltankcontainslittleornofuelso
thatfueldoesnotleakoutwhenyoutipthemower
ontoitsside.
2.Runtheengineafewminutesbeforechangingtheoil
towarmit.
Note:Warmoilowsbetterandcarriesmore
contaminants.
3.Disconnectthewirefromthesparkplug.Referto
PreparingforMaintenance(page17).
4.Tipthemowerontoitsside,withthedipstickdown,
untiltheupperhandlerestsontheground.
5.Setanoil-drainpanunderthedipstick.
6.Removethedipstickanddraintheusedoilintoan
oil-drainpan(Figure33).
