Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengagetheblade
controlswitch.Movethemotioncontrolleversoutwardto
theneutralposition,engageparkingbrake,stoptheengine,
removethekey,andwaitforallmovingpartstostopbefore
leavingtheoperatingposition.
Lowerthemowertothe3inch(76mm)height-of-cut
position.Removethemowerbeltfromtheenginepulley;
refertotheReplacingtheMowerBeltprocedure.Lower
themowertothelowestheight-of-cut.Selectoneofthe
followingproceduresdependingonthemowerdecksize
installedtocompletetheremoval.
1.Removethehairpincotterandwashersecuringthe
long,linkbartotheframeanddeck;removethelink
bar(Figure69).
