1.ParkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengagethePTO.Stopthe
engine,waitforallmovingpartstostopandremovethekey.Engagethe
parkingbrake.
2.Disconnectthebatterybyremovingthenegativecablerst,thenthepositive
cablefromthebattery.
3.Usinganappropriateliftingdevice,raisetherearofthemachineandsupport.
Note:Donotraiseandsupportonthehydroplate.
4.Removethedeckbelt.DeckBeltReplacement(page6–4)
5.Usinga½inchbreakerbar,insertintothemostaccessiblesquareholeof
theidlerarm.

13.Removethecartridgelteranddrainthehydrostatictransaxlebeingremoved.
14.Removeandplugthespringclampssecuringthereservoirhosetothe
hydrostatictransaxle.
