Linkage
Locatedoneithersideofthefueltank,belowtheseatare
thepumpcontrollinkages.Rotatingthepumplinkage
witha1/2inchwrenchallowsnetuningadjustments
sothatthemachinedoesnotmoveinneutral.Any
adjustmentsshouldbemadeforneutralpositioningonly.
Enginemustberunninganddrivewheelsmust
beturningsomotioncontroladjustmentcanbe
performed.Contactwithmovingpartsorhot
surfacesmaycausepersonalinjury.
Keepngers,hands,andclothingclearof
rotatingcomponentsandhotsurfaces.
1.Priortostartingtheengine,pushthedeckliftpedal
andremovetheheightofcutpin.Lowerdeckto
theground.
2.Raisetherearofmachineupandsupportwithjack
stands(orequivalentsupport)justhighenoughto
allowdrivewheelstoturnfreely.
3.Removetheelectricalconnectionfromtheseat
safetyswitch,locatedunderthebottomcushionof
theseat.Theswitchisapartoftheseatassembly.
4.Temporarilyinstallajumperwireacrossthe
terminalsintheconnectorofthemainwiring
harness.
5.Startengine.Brakemustbeengagedandmotion
controlleversouttostartengine.Operatordoes
nothavetobeintheseatbecauseofthejumper
wirebeingused.Runengineatfullthrottleand
releasebrake.
6.Runtheunitatleast5minuteswiththedrivelevers
atfullforwardspeedtobringhydraulicoilupto
operatingtemperature.
Note:Themotioncontrolleverneedstobein
neutralwhilemakinganynecessaryadjustments.
7.Bringthemotioncontrolleversintotheneutral
position.Adjustpumpcontrolrodlengthsby
rotatingthedoublenutsontherodintheappropriate
directionuntilthewheelsslightlycreepinreverse
(Figure82).Movethemotioncontrolleverstothe
reversepositionandwhileapplyingslightpressureto
theleverallowthereverseindicatorspringstobring
theleversbacktoneutral.Thewheelsmuststop
turningorslightlycreepinreverse.
