0.Managing User Boxes and Folders
The e-Filing web utility provides two box types: the public box and user box. Each user can create his or her own user
box, and also create one level of folder in each box.

Creating user boxes and folders
Each user can create his or her own user box, and also protect the box with a password, if required.

Creating user boxes
This operation allows you to create up to 200 user boxes and protect each box with a password.
You can also create user boxes from the touch panel. For instructions on how to create user boxes from the touch
panel, see the following page:

Select “e-Filing” in the Document frame in the [Documents] tab, and select [New Box] from the
[File] menu.
The New Box window appears.

Define the box properties as required and complete the operation.
[Box Number]: Select a box number.
Users cannot select existing box numbers in the [Box Number] box. Only undefined box numbers appear in this
drop-down list box.
[Box Name]: Enter the box name.
Box names can consist of any ASCII characters except:
\ / < > " % & = ' ; : * ? | # [ ] { }.
Do not use a space or period at the beginning or end of the name. The maximum size of a box name is 32
characters.
