16 Periodic Maintenance/Parts Replacement
The G8000 is designed to provide long-term trouble-free power conditioning and backup. Optimum
performance can be best maintained by regular, periodic, preventive maintenance.
16.1 Scheduled Maintenance
The G8000 UPS should have scheduled maintenance performed on it annually by a factory-authorized
service provider. The preventive maintenance should include at minimum:
• Clean UPS exterior
• Clean UPS interior
• Verify power supply voltages
• Check for loose/overheated connections
• Scan error log and correct potential UPS-related issues
16.2 Parts Replacement
The following list shows the recommended intervals for periodic replacement of certain UPS parts.
• Aluminum electrolytic capacitors: Replace once every 7-10 years.
• Fuses: Replace once every 7-10 years
• Cooling fan: Replace once every 7-10 years
• Batteries (If applicable): See the Backup Battery Cabinet manual for specic test, maintenance and
replacement instructions.
