4.16 Monochrome Fluorescent Lamp
Removal
To remove the fluorescent lamp (FL), follow the steps below and refer to Figures 4-27 and 4-
28.
1. Turn off the power to the computer and disconnect the AC adapter, power cord,
and all external cables.
2. Remove the battery pack, display mask, FL inverter board, and display module as
described in sections 4.2, 4.13, 4.14, and 4.15.
3. Remove three brass M2x2 flathead screws securing the FL cover (Figure 4-27).
4. Lift out the FL cover.
