Troubleshooting method for engine not starting normally
If the engine fails to start, double check the following:
Whether the battery voltage is normal and whether the battery is full
Whether the glow plug has failed.
Whether the fuel can reach the carburetor smoothly
The engine is flooded, do not force it to start at this time. Remove the glow plug, close the oil needle and press the start button to discharge excess
remaining fuel. (cover the plug hole with a felt cloth so the fuel doesn't splash on you). If it is forced to start without removing excess fuel, it may
cause irreversible damage to the starting system, as well as strain and deformation of the connecting rod and crankshaft.
Timing belt adjustment
All TOYAN engines have tested the timing belt position before leaving the factory. If after several hours of execution time, it
is found that the running power is lost, or the engine is running unstable, it is necessary to test and adjust the timing belt to
make the engine get the correct ignition information. Please refer to the "Timing Timing Belt Timing Diagram" on page 11
to check.
If a low speed flameout occurs, please do not keep it at a too low speed for a long time. Because the methanol engine needs
to maintain the glow plug filament temperature to achieve ignition, when the engine is in a rich state when the engine is in a low
speed for a long time, the filament temperature will gradually decrease, resulting in flameout. Therefore, it is necessary to pull
high-speed to clean the oil from time to time to maintain the temperature of the filament.
