Function Description
The Tapo Smart Wire-Free Security Camera is a smart, wire-free, indoor/outdoor, battery-powered security camera designed for flexible monitoring. It offers 100% wire-free operation due to its battery power, eliminating outlet constraints and allowing for ultra-flexible placement both indoors and outdoors. The camera can also operate in an "Always-On Mode" when connected via a USB cable, enabling 24/7 monitoring.

- Battery: Built-in 6400 mAh rechargeable battery, providing up to 180 days of uninterrupted performance on a single charge (based on Tapo laboratory tests with 250s of use per day, actual battery life may vary).
- Storage: Supports local storage on a microSD card (up to 512 GB, purchased separately) and cloud storage (subscription required).
- Weather Resistance: IP65 Water & Dust Resistant, capable of withstanding rain, snow, dust, bright sunshine, and other harsh weather conditions from -20 to 45°C (-4 to 113°F).
- Night Vision: Full-Color Night Vision with a large aperture lens and built-in spotlights, capturing detailed and vivid nighttime colors up to 30 feet (9 m).
- Connectivity: Connects to Wi-Fi.

- Tapo App Integration: The camera is set up and managed via the Tapo app, available on the App Store and Google Play. The app allows users to log in, add devices, and monitor battery status.

Maintenance Features
- Battery Charging: The battery comes partially charged and should be fully charged before first use (approximately seven and a half hours). The LED blinks amber quickly for 3 seconds when plugging in the USB charger.
- Waterproof Performance: The silicone part covering the charging port should not be torn off forcefully as it affects waterproof performance. Ports should be firmly covered when not in use to ensure waterproof performance.
- Reset Functionality: A Reset Button is available (use a pin to press and hold for at least 5 seconds) to reset the camera to factory default settings.
- Cleaning: Do not use liquid or spray cleaners; only use a dry cloth to clean the product.
- Troubleshooting: If the camera does not power up after falling, plug in the USB charger to power it on again. If the LED does not turn solid green after a long time during FFS setup, users can try to add the device manually through the Tapo app.
- Firmware Updates: The camera's LED blinks green quickly during camera updating.
- Password Security: Users are advised to change the default password and update it regularly to prevent unauthorized access to video footage.
