Front panel controls
All the functions of the DAC 8 can be operated using the buttons on the front panel. Direct-acting
buttons are provided for fundamental functions such as source select, D/A converter settings and
volume control. All information relating to the machine’s state is displayed on the integral screen
and by the indicator leds. The following section explains the functions of the buttons on the
machine, and the information provided on the screen.

A brief press on the
button switches the unit on and off.
When the machine is switched on, the green indicator light above
the button glows.
Caution!
The mains button is not a mains isolation switch. Even when
the green LED is not glowing, some parts of the machine are
still connected to mains voltage. To disconnect the device
from the mains please disconnect the mains plug.



Selects the digital inputs

of the DAC 8. Press the button again to toggle between 1 and 2.
Selects the digital inputs

of the DAC 8. Press the button again to toggle between 3 and 4.

(green LED) of
the DAC 8. Press the button again to toggle between the two
inputs.
Selects the digital inputs

EBU
(red LED) and
USB
(green
LED) of the DAC 8. Press the button again to toggle between
AES / EBU and USB.
