Using the system for the first time
Back panel connections
ANALOG OUT
XLR
Symmetrical analogue output with fixed or variable level.
The position of the slide switch marked VRBL / LINE determines
whether the output’s level is fixed or variable (see below).
RCA (Cinch)
Unsymmetrical analogue output with fixed or variable level.
The position of the slide switch marked VRBL / LINE determines
whether the output’s level is fixed or variable (see below).
Switch
(VRBL / LINE)
The slide switch determines whether the output level of the analogue
outputs (ANALOG OUT) is fixed (‘LINE’ setting), or variable (‘VRBL’
setting) using the DAC 8’s volume buttons.
DIGITAL OUT
Digital Out
At this socket is the signal from the chosen source available. It can be
transmitted to e.g. a surround decoder or another DAC for e.g. multi
room operation.
