Why is my Trane Heater electric heat not operating?

  The electric heat in your Trane Heater might not be operating due to several reasons: * The controller may be cycling the electric heat on and off to meet the unit capacity requirements, which is normal operation. * There might be no power to the controller. To operate normally, the controller needs a 24 Vac input voltage. If the green LED is off continuously, the controller may not have sufficient power or may have failed. * Incorrect or missing wiring between the controller outputs and the electric heat contacts can prevent normal operation. * The controller might not be properly configured based on the installed devices and application. If the unit configuration doesn't match the actual device, the electric heat might not work correctly.

  If the motor spins too fast or spins without any apparent speed request on your Trane Heater, check these items: * Verify that the voltage jumper on the motor plug harness is absent for 208-230V units and 277V units, as the motor may not be controllable. * Ensure that the fan speed request is not below 450 rpm, as speeds below 450 rpm are not supported on the fan coil product. * Verify that variable speed (VSP) inputs are properly wired to 1TB4, as output signals may be ignored.
