What to do if Trane Recording Equipment has no communication?
    • A
      Austin MichaelAug 12, 2025
If your Trane Recording Equipment experiences a loss of communication due to power loss, the coordinator WCI will re-initiate the network as soon as power is restored. Similarly, if a signal obstruction is the cause, the coordinator WCI will re-initiate the network once communication is re-established. You can also try moving network components closer to extend the radio range or cycle power on the controller or Tracer SC connected to the WCI.

How to fix Trane X13790901010 Recording Equipment WCI that does not join network?
    • C
      Cameron ArnoldAug 19, 2025
If your WCI does not join the network, allow it more time to connect. If the network closes prematurely, reopen it using the OPEN NET button on another WCI. For factory-addressed WCIs, ensure the address is correct and verify each WCI address post-installation. Check the sensor for error codes, if installed. Initiate network formation and resolve any exceptions. Also, check that the WCI and the corresponding controller are wired correctly and powered on. Trying a different channel by selecting a different net address may also help. Relocating the WCI or adding a repeater can improve connectivity. If all else fails, consider replacing the WCI.

What to do if Trane X13790901010 Tracer SC does not communicate with WCI?
    • M
      Mr. Timothy FrederickAug 27, 2025
If your Tracer SC is not communicating with the WCI, verify that the WCI is properly wired to the Tracer SC. Also, ensure that the wireless link on the Tracer SC is enabled, configured to match the WCI address, and is unique within the building. Moving network components within radio range, breaking up networks to make them smaller, or adding a repeater can also help.

What to do if Trane X13790901010 sensor does not communicate with WCI?
    • G
      Gwendolyn PowersSep 3, 2025
If a sensor is not communicating with the WCI, make sure the sensor address matches the unit controller address, focusing on matching addresses rather than arrow directions. You can press the test button on the sensor to force association. If that doesn't work, use Tracer TU to update WCI to the latest firmware. If problems persist, consider replacing the defective device.
