  If your Trane Recording Equipment experiences a loss of communication due to power loss, the coordinator WCI will re-initiate the network as soon as power is restored. Similarly, if a signal obstruction is the cause, the coordinator WCI will re-initiate the network once communication is re-established. You can also try moving network components closer to extend the radio range or cycle power on the controller or Tracer SC connected to the WCI.

  If your WCI does not join the network, allow it more time to connect. If the network closes prematurely, reopen it using the OPEN NET button on another WCI. For factory-addressed WCIs, ensure the address is correct and verify each WCI address post-installation. Check the sensor for error codes, if installed. Initiate network formation and resolve any exceptions. Also, check that the WCI and the corresponding controller are wired correctly and powered on. Trying a different channel by selecting a different net address may also help. Relocating the WCI or adding a repeater can improve connectivity. If all else fails, consider replacing the WCI.
