ThislimitedwarrantyisextendedbyTrane,a businessofAmericanStandard,Inc.,to theoriginal
purchaserandtoanysucceedingownerof therealpropertyto whichtheTraneWeathertron®Heat
Pumpisoriginallyaffixed,andappliesto productspurchasedandretainedfor usewithinthe
U.S.A.andCanada.
Ifanyinternalfunctionalpartof yourTraneWeathertron®HeatPumpfailsbecauseof a manufacturing
defectwithintenyearsfromthedateof theoriginalpurchase,Tranewillfurnishwithoutchargethe
requiredreplacementpart.Anylocaltransportation,relatedservicelabor,diagnosiscalls,refrigerant
andrelateditemsare notincluded.
Ifa compatibleTraneindoorunitand/orTranethermostatisincorporatedinthesystemandis installed
atthesametimeasyourTraneWeathertron®HeatPump,thenifanyTranefurnishedinternalfunctional
partofthatunitfailsbecauseofa manufacturingdefectwithintenyearsfromthedateof original
purchase,Tranewillfurnishtherequiredreplacementpart.Anylocaltransportation,relatedservice
labor,diagnosiscalls,refrigerantandrelateditemsarenotincluded.THISLIMITEDWARRANTYIS IN
LIEUOFANYEXPRESSWRITTENLIMITEDWARRANTYACCOMPANYINGANYOFTHEABOVE
INDOORPRODUCTS.
Ifthesealedmotor-compressorfailsoriftheoutdoorcoilshouldbecomedefective,eitherorbothevents
occurringbecauseofa manufacturingdefectwithintenyearsfromthedateof originalpurchase,Tranewill
furnishwithoutchargetherequiredreplacementcompressorand/oroutdoorcoil.Anylocaltransportation,
relatedservicelabor,diagnosiscalls,refrigerantandrelateditemsarenotincluded.
Thislimitedwarrantydoesnotcoverfailureof yourTraneWeathertron®HeatPumpifitisdamaged
whileinyourpossession,damagecausedbyunreasonableuseoftheTraneWeathertron®HeatPump
and/ordamagefromfailureto properly maintaintheTraneWeathertron®HeatPumpas setforthin
the UseandCaremanual(seeProperMaintenancesection).
Thislimitedwarrantyappliesto productinstalledonor after10/1/2001whereproductismanufactured
after1/1/2000.Thislimitedwarrantyis notretroactiveto anyinstallationspriorto 10/1/2001oron
productproducedpriorto 2000.
THELiMiTEDWARRANTYANDLiABiLiTYSETFORTHHEREINAREiN LiEUOFALL
OTHERWARRANTIESANDLiABiLiTiES,WHETHERiN CONTRACTORiN NEGLI-
GENCE,EXPRESSORiMPLiED,iN LAWORiN FACT,iNCLUDiNGBUTNOTSPECIFI-
CALLYLiMiTEDTOiMPLiEDWARRANTIESOFMERCHANTABiLiTYANDFITNESSFOR
PARTICULARUSE,ANDINNOEVENTSHALLTRANEBELIABLEFORANYINCIDEN-
TALOR CONSEQUENTIALDAMAGES.
Somestatesdonotallowlimitationsonhow longanimpliedlimitedwarrantylastsor donotallowthe
exclusionorlimitationof incidentalorconsequentialdamages,so theabovelimitationorexclusionmay
notapplytoyou.Thislimitedwarrantygivesyouspecificlegalrights,andyoumayalsohaveother
rightswhichvaryfromstateto state.
