  If the Trinity Highway Industrial Equipment winch won't operate, first check that the power cables (+12vdc and ground) are securely connected between the truck's charged batteries and the control box. If low voltage is suspected, check the voltage to the ground at the winch to prevent premature damage to the motor. Also, the winch will not operate if the voltage drops below 10.3VDC (±3%) for 12VDC systems or 20.6VDC (±3%) for 24VDC systems. Charge or replace batteries as needed and ensure the truck's alternator is charging all batteries. Parking the truck on a level surface may help, as a steep downhill slope can prevent operation. Finally, ensure the limit switches are positioned correctly and adjust them if needed.
