Battery Replacement
Important! Confirm the unit has been properly shut down from the LCD panel on the front of the unit before
performing the battery replacement procedure.

Confirm the input breaker is in the OFF position. For the position of each model’s input breaker, refer to section 4.3 Front
View with Door Open in the Owner’s Manual.

Open the UPS front door to unscrew and remove the battery compartment panel located on the front of the unit.

• Do not dispose of batteries in a fire; they may explode.
• Do not open or mutilate the battery. Chemicals released are harmful to the skin or eyes and may be toxic. Follow first-aid
procedures for chemical burns in the event of exposure. Use appropriate protective clothing when handling a leaking battery.
• A battery can present a risk of high current in the event of a short circuit. High discharge can lead to severe burns and/or the
risk of fire. Observe the following precautions when working around high-capacity storage batteries: 1) remove watches, rings
or other metal objects that might come in contact with battery terminals; 2) use tools with insulated handles; 3) do not lay
tools or metal parts on top of the battery or near the terminals.
