Why Troy-Bilt 52063, 52064 engine does not start?

If your Troy-Bilt Trimmer engine won't start, there are several potential causes: * The spark plug wire may be disconnected, so reconnect it. * The spark plug could be defective or incorrectly gapped, so inspect or replace it. * The fuel tank might be empty, so add fuel. * The carburetor or fuel line could be dirty, so clean them. * The air cleaner could be dirty, so clean or replace it. * The carburetor might be out of adjustment. * The engine might be flooded, so wait several minutes before starting. * The engine throttle lever might be in the incorrect position, so move it to the FAST position. * The gasoline could be stale, so drain the old fuel and add fresh fuel.
