Overview

The Truma Combi® CP Plus is a control panel designed to manage the heating and hot water functions in a recreational vehicle, offering a range of settings for comfort and efficiency.

Function Description:

The primary function of the Truma Combi® CP Plus is to allow users to precisely control the room temperature and water temperature within their RV. It integrates heating and hot water generation into a single system, providing flexibility in energy source selection and fan speed. The device also includes a time switch for automated operation and various settings for personalization and maintenance.

Usage Features:

Room Temperature Adjustment:

Users can adjust the room temperature within a range of 40-86°F (5-30°C). This allows for comfortable climate control regardless of external conditions.

Energy Mode Selection:

The CP Plus offers several energy modes to optimize fuel consumption and heating power:

  • LP gas: Utilizes liquid petroleum gas for heating.
  • MIX 1:* Combines 850W electricity with gas for heating. This mode is available for Truma Combi eco plus and comfort plus models.
  • MIX 2:* Combines 1700W electricity with gas for heating. This mode is also available for Truma Combi eco plus and comfort plus models.
  • EL (850W):* Uses 850W electricity for heating. This mode is available for Truma Combi eco plus and comfort plus models.
  • EL (1700W):* Uses 1700W electricity for heating. This mode is available for Truma Combi eco plus and comfort plus models. These options provide flexibility to choose the most suitable energy source based on availability and desired heating speed.

Water Temperature Adjustment:

The device allows for precise control over hot water generation with several modes:

  • Boiler: Activates the hot water generator. The icon flashes until the desired temperature is reached, indicating the heating process is active.
  • Eco: Sets the water temperature to 104°F (40°C), offering an energy-efficient option for hot water.
  • Hot: Sets the water temperature to 140°F (60°C), providing hotter water for various needs.
  • Boost: Prioritizes quick heating of the boiler content for up to 40 minutes. During this period, the water temperature is maintained at a higher level (approximately 144°F or 62°C) for two subsequent heating cycles. Once the water temperature is reached, the system resumes room heating. This feature is particularly useful when a rapid supply of hot water is needed.

Clock and Time Switch:

  • Set clock to current time: Allows users to set the precise time on the control panel.
  • Set time switch: Enables scheduling of heating and hot water. Users can set start and end times for room temperature, water temperature, energy mode, and fan speed set points. This feature enhances convenience and energy efficiency by automating climate control.

Fan Speed Selection:

The CP Plus offers various fan speed settings to control air circulation and heating distribution:

  • OFF: The fan is switched off, provided the furnace mode is also off.
  • VENT: Circulates air without heating, useful for ventilation when the furnace mode is off.
  • ECO: Operates the fan at a low speed, providing quiet and energy-efficient air circulation.
  • HIGH: Operates the fan at a high speed for faster air distribution.
  • BOOST: Activates fast room heating. This mode is available when the difference between the selected room temperature and the current room temperature is greater than 18°F (10°C), ensuring rapid warming of the living space.

Maintenance Features:

Settings Menu:

The settings menu provides access to various configuration and diagnostic options:

  • Index: Displays the version number of the connected device, useful for troubleshooting and software updates.
  • Bright: Allows adjustment of the backlighting intensity for optimal visibility in different lighting conditions.
  • Lang: Enables selection of the desired language for the control panel interface.
  • 12-24h: Toggles between 12-hour and 24-hour time display modes.
  • Temp: Allows selection of temperature units between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C).
  • Offset: Provides an option to calibrate the temperature offset, ensuring accurate temperature readings and control.
  • Pr set: Initiates a factory reset, restoring all settings to their default values. This can be useful for troubleshooting or when preparing the device for a new user.

The Truma Combi® CP Plus is designed to provide comprehensive and user-friendly control over the RV's heating and hot water systems, enhancing comfort and convenience for occupants.
