2.3 Cleaning and Maintenance
This appliance should be inspected and serviced once a year by a qualified, competent and registered
person. The inspection and maintenance must at least ensure that the appliance is working correctly
and safely. It is advisable to clean the appliance of any dust and debris before regularly during the
heating season and especially if the appliance has not been used for some time. This can be done with
a soft brush and a vacuum cleaner or a damp cloth and if required a non-abrasive cleaning agent. Do
not use corrosive or abrasive substances to clean the appliance.
Please pay attention: if you keep pushing the arrow down button the fire will go out but the pilot light
will stay on. It is good to keep the pilot light on because then there is less chance of corrosion!
