Within OPUS’ Acoustic Impulse Response library, each IR is available in 2 versions; a standard version
and one denoted by the letter “m”, indicating a “matched” variant (example Seoul 710.wav and Seoul
710 m.wav).
The “m” versions have been passed through a post-processing algorithm in order to generate a more
balanced tone. In contrast, you may find that the non-Match files are a little bass-heavy and as such
we advise using OPUS’ EQ to balance and enhance your tone. In addition, we also advise trialing with
a blend of your raw DI tone and the non-Matched Acoustic IRs for best results.
