11. Place the gate metering bar on the outside of the
mounting bracket and install two 6.25 x 25 mm (¼ x
1 in) machine screws and nylon locking nuts
(Figure 5).

12. Place the rear gate in the lowest position against the
belt.
13. Install the metering bar sticker with the tailgate closed
and the indicator pointing at zero (Figure 6).

QP300 Only
Install the tow vehicle hydraulic option or the Honda
engine option. Install the Honda engine when the
customer’s tow vehicle has insufficient hydraulic
capabilities (see the Specifications in the Operator’s
Manual).
QP450 Only
Install the tow vehicle hydraulic option. The Honda engine
option is not needed for the QuickPass 450.
How to Install the Honda Engine
1. Before installing the Honda Engine to the Quickpass
Base Model, a protective decal must be applied to the
area on the Base Model that is exposed to the exhaust
of the Engine.
2. The decal should be placed on the front of the belt
cartridge assembly (left of the hitch when looking
straight at the QuickPass), approximately 20 inches
from the left side and approximately 1-1/8 inches from
the bottom of the belt cartridge. See figure 7 for
clarification.
