Overview

The Tymate Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is designed to enhance driving safety, improve fuel efficiency, and prolong tire lifespan by continuously monitoring tire pressure and temperature. This user-friendly device provides real-time data and alerts, ensuring drivers are aware of abnormal tire conditions.

Function Description:

The core function of the Tymate TPMS is to detect and display the pressure and temperature of up to seven tires, including one spare. It operates wirelessly, with sensors installed on each tire transmitting data to a central monitor. The system is designed to alert the driver to abnormal pressure and temperature situations, thereby preventing dangerous driving conditions such as tire blowouts or braking problems caused by under-inflated or over-inflated tires. The monitor simultaneously displays both temperature and pressure data for all monitored tires.

Usage Features:

The Tymate TPMS monitor boasts several convenient usage features. It is equipped with an automatic solar power battery recharger, allowing for continuous charging after an initial full DC charge. This built-in rechargeable lithium battery ensures long-term operation. The monitor features an automatic wake-up function, activating when vehicle motion is detected after a period of inactivity (typically 10 minutes). Conversely, it enters a sleeping mode to conserve battery life when the vehicle is stationary. An automatic backlight enhances visibility of the display.

Users can configure various settings to suit their preferences and vehicle requirements. The system offers multiple pressure unit options (PSI, BAR) and temperature unit options (°C, °F). Drivers can set configurable high/low pressure and high-temperature alarm thresholds for front, rear, and even spare tires. In the event of an abnormal condition, the monitor provides both a display alert (flashing icons and data) and a sound prompt alarm. Specifically, it alerts for high pressure, low pressure, high temperature, fast leakage, and low sensor battery voltage. The faulty tire and/or battery alarm icons will continue to flash until the problem is resolved. To silence an alarm, users can either address the tire issue, long-press the "SET" button to enter the setting page and then exit, or press the "Power ON/OFF" button.

The monitor also supports a tire position exchange function, allowing users to re-code sensors to their actual tire positions, which is useful after tire rotations or replacements. This process involves entering a learning mode and either mounting the sensor onto the tire valve (for external sensors) or inflating the tire (for internal sensors) to transmit its ID code to the monitor.

Maintenance Features:

Maintaining the Tymate TPMS involves a few key aspects. The monitor itself is designed for easy installation, typically placed in an appropriate location using a sticky pad or magic tape, ensuring it does not interfere with normal driving. For initial setup, it's recommended to charge the monitor via the DC-DC power adapter. Subsequent charging is handled by the solar panel, provided there is sufficient sunshine. If the battery level indicator shows low power, manual DC charging is advised for approximately 2.5 hours.

The system includes a factory reset option, allowing users to restore default alarm settings for pressure and temperature. This is achieved by turning off the monitor, then turning it back on and pressing the "SET" button within 3 seconds until a "Bi" sound is heard and the red backlight illuminates.

The sensors are designed to be robust, but it's important to note that they can be subject to wear and corrosion from the external environment over time. The system provides a "Sensor Low Battery Alert" to indicate when a sensor's battery voltage is low, prompting the user to replace the CR 1632 battery. The manual also advises users to consider purchasing extra sensors as backups to ensure continuous monitoring.

For any installation questions or problems, users are encouraged to contact their local distributor. The manual also provides troubleshooting tips for situations where the device may not be monitoring tire pressure accurately, suggesting to allow a few minutes for data updates and acknowledging potential minor deviations when comparing with other tire pressure gauges due to different measurement theories. It also addresses signal transmission stability, noting that signal can be blocked by objects or electromagnetic interference, and suggests a repeater if the signal is unstable or the vehicle length exceeds the sensor's transmission distance.
