Intended use

• Taking blood pressure measurements on children requires
specialist knowledge. Consult your doctor if you want to
measure a child’s blood pressure. Never use this device on a
newborn baby or an infant.
• Do not under any circumstances place the cuff over a criti-
cal area, e.g. a wound, aneurysm, etc. or on an arm with an
arteriovenous shunt. Risk of injury! Any supply via an intra-
vascular access point (infusion) or other medical monitoring
devices could possibly be interrupted.
• The display of the pulse frequency is not suitable for check-
ing the frequency of cardiac pacemakers. Cardiac pace-

1. Important instructions for patientsThe intended purpose of this device is to enable adults to au-
tomatically measure their own systolic blood pressure, diastolic
blood pressure and pulse at their wrist. The device can also be
used by health care professionals.
This unit uses the oscillometric method for measuring blood
pressure and pulse rate.
Warning: Not suitable for use on newborn babies or infants.
Warning: Not suitable for use during pregnancy.
The device is not suitable for use in close proximity to RF elec-
trosurgical instruments or magnetic resonance imaging equip-
ment.
