3. Important usage information
The measurement results of automated blood pressure mon-
previous exertion and general physical condition. Please pay
attention to the usage information in order to obtain accurate
readings.
• Do not consume alcohol, caffeine or smoke for at least one
hour before measuring.
• Rest for at least 5 minutes before taking the measurement.
Depending on the previous degree of exertion, you may
even need to rest for up to an hour.
• Clear the wrist from all clothing or watches/jewellery since
the blood pressure at the place of measurement.
• To attain comparable results, perform the measurement
under conditions that are as similar to each other as pos-
sible, e.g. always at the same time of day in the same place.
• In order to exclude side differences and to obtain compara-
ble measurement results, it is important to always take the
measurement on the same arm. Ask your doctor which side
it is advisable for you to measure.
• Do not move or talk during measuring.
• Breath slowly and deeply. Do not hold your breath.
4. Inserting/replacing batteries, battery icon
• Insert the batteries provided into the
cover on the left-hand side of the device
(Figure 1).
• Remove the old batteries from the de-
vice and insert the new ones. Please en-
sure correct polarity (marking in battery
compartment).
• Close the battery compartment again by
sliding the cover in the direction indicat-
ed by the arrow until it clicks into place
If the “Empty battery ” symbol appears on the display,
switch off the device and replace the batteries.
If the device will not be operated for more than three months,
-
the affected eye immediately with plenty of water. Seek imme-
diate medical attention.
