If the charge LED on your Uniden Cordless Telephone does not illuminate when the handset is placed in the cradle, ensure that the AC adapter is correctly plugged into both the base (or charger for DCT6485-2 and DCT64853 models) and the wall outlet. Also, verify that the handset is properly seated in the cradle.
