Turning on the Power
Press and hold the Power/Channel Selector.
Operation
NOTE
Low-Voltage/High-Voltage Alert
Ifthepowersupplyvoltageexceeds18VDC,analerttone
sounds and dc HIashesfor5seconds.Thepowersource
mustnotexceed25VDCotherwisepermanentdamage
may occur to your radio, which may not be covered by the
manufacturer’s warranty.
Iftheinputvoltagefallsbelow10VDC,dc Loashesfor5
seconds. The power turns off automatically if voltage falls
below8.5VDC.
Switch your UH5000 OFF and disconnect it from the power
source, before locating the cause of the power supply problem.
Setting the Squelch Level
Press the Power/Channel Selector momentarily. SqL shows and the
currentsquelchlevelwillash.
Turn the Channel Selector to select the desired squelch level.
