  Your Utilitech Flood Light might stay on if the lamp is positioned too close to the sensor or pointed at objects that trigger the sensor. Try aiming the lamp away from the sensor or those objects. Also, the control might be pointed at a heat source like an air vent, dryer vent, or brightly-painted heat-reflective surface. In this case, re-aim the sensor or use a lens shield.

  If your Utilitech Flood Lights won't turn on, start by checking if the light switch is turned on. If it is, inspect the flood light itself to see if it's loose or burned out, and replace if needed. Also, check the fuse or circuit breaker. If it's daytime, the daylight turnoff feature might be active, so re-check after dark. If this is a new installation, verify the circuit wiring. You can also re-aim the sensor to cover desired area.

  If your Utilitech Flood Light is flashing on and off, it could be that heat or light from the lamps is turning the light control on and off. Try aiming the lamps away from the sensor and turning Boost off. Reflected heat from other objects might also be triggering the sensor, so re-aim the sensor and turn Boost off. If the control is simply warming up, wait one minute for the sensor to warm up. Lastly, ensure the control switch is set to an ON-TIME position, not Test.

  If your Utilitech Flood Lights are coming on during the day, the control may be installed in a relatively dark location; relocate it to a better position. Also, check if the control is in Test mode and set the control switch to an ON-TIME position.
