Why my Utilitech Flood Light doesn't turn on?
    • C
      Christopher MarshallAug 3, 2025
If your Utilitech Flood Light isn't turning on, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the light switch is in the 'on' position. Next, check the bulb to see if it's either loose or burned out; try re-tightening it or replacing it altogether. Also, verify that the fuse hasn't blown or the circuit breaker hasn't been turned off; replace the fuse or switch the breaker back on if necessary. For new installations, double-check the wiring to ensure it's correct. If it's daytime, the daylight turn-off feature might be active, so check again after dark. Ensure the sensor adequately covers the desired area by re-aiming it. Finally, if wall-mounted, make sure the lamp head has been rotated 30° downward, and then change the bulb.

Why does my Utilitech 6211W-PIR26B Flood Light turn on by itself?
    • Y
      ypierceAug 11, 2025
If your Utilitech Flood Light activates unexpectedly, the light control might be detecting small animals or automobile traffic; try repositioning the lamp away from the sensor or nearby objects. Also, the range might be set too high, so reposition the sensor. Ensure that the light control is not in MANUAL mode; revert back to the sensor mode.

How to stop my Utilitech 6211W-PIR26B turning on during the day?
    • S
      Stephanie FuentesAug 19, 2025
If your Utilitech Flood Light is activating during daylight hours, it could be due to a couple of reasons. The light control might be installed in a relatively dark location; if so, move the light to a brighter spot during the day. Alternatively, the light control might be in TEST mode; if this is the case, set the control switch to the TIME position.

What to do if my Utilitech Flood Light is flashing?
    • M
      Mark JonesAug 26, 2025
If your Utilitech Flood Light is flashing on and off, it could be due to several reasons. Heat or light from the lamps may be turning the light control on and off, so try repositioning the lamps away from the sensor. Heat being reflected from other objects may also be affecting the sensor, so reposition the sensor. If the light control is in the TEST mode, flashing is normal under these conditions. Additionally, light may be leaking through the flood lamp, so make sure the metal lamp protectors are installed.
