9.1 Complaints report

especially the following:

¬ Design and operation
¬ Type of problem and observations
¬ Status of process
When you have completed the report, please contact your Vahterus representative.
9.2 Measures for replacements
If there is a need to replace a plate pack for an openable heat exchanger, take the
measurementsatfourdierentpointsinsidetheshell–seediagrambelow.

9.4 Criteria of limiting conditions for the equipment
¬ Mechanical wear (abrasion), scratches, corrosion damage that exceeds the corrosion
allowance for the wall thickness provided in the strength calculation.
¬ Mechanical damage to the plates that causes media to mix.
¬ Dents, ovality, wear of equipment (or elements) over permissible values.
¬ Cracks of all kinds.
¬ Defects in welds exceeding acceptable values, including single slags and gas inclu-
sions.
¬ Corrosion and cracking of the metal in the zone of the welds and close to the corrosion spots.
¬ Damagetothegasketsofangeconnectionsorweakeningofbolting.
10 Recycling
The metals used in our heat exchangers are recyclable, for example to make steel. The
rubberfromtheowdirectorsisnotrecyclableandmustbedisposedofaccordingto
local waste disposal regulations.

