For flue installations where external access is not practicable, consideration should be given for
the space required to insert the flue internally, which may necessitate clearance larger than
those specified in fig 4.1.
4.1.3 Timber frame buildings
If the boiler is to be installed in a timber frame building it should be fitted in accordance with the
Institute of Gas Engineers document IG/UP/7 Edition 2 “Gas instal-lations in timber framed and
light steel framed build-ings“. If in doubt seek advice from the local gas under-taking or Vaillant.
4.1.4 Contents included with delivery
The Vaillant ecoTEC plus is delivered pre-mounted in a package unit. Check that all the parts
have been delivered intact (see fig. 4.2 and table 4.1.
Do not remove the boiler from the polystyrene base at this stage.
Place aside the flue adaptor and connections pack until required.
