Using the UV-Vis detector Sync.doc, Page 1 of 2
Using the UV-VIS Detector Sync Signals on the 920-LC/940-LC.
UV-VIS detector Ready, Start, and Fault inputs can be triggered, and UV-VIS detector Ready, Start
and fault outputs can be detected, using the signals from the Detector Sync connector at the rear of the
Varian 920-LC/940-LC instrument.
A circuit board with screw terminals to plug into the
Detector Sync connector is available (P/N 02-102285-00)
to be used with a customers own flying lead cable. This
board does not have any electronics on it, it just provides
a terminal block to screw wires into. Alternatively the
customer can assemble their own cable with the desired
terminations themselves.
These circuit diagrams show the electrical interface of
these signals inside the Varian instrument, to enable
anyone to use these signals.
