The Vendo Company is com mitted to safet y in every aspect of our product
design. Vendo is com mit ted t o alerting every user to t he possible dangers
involved in im proper handling or m aint enance of our equipm ent . The servicing
of any elect rical or m echanical device involves p o t en t ial h azar d s, both to those
servicing t he equipment and t o users of t he equipment . These hazards can
arise because of im proper maint enance techniques. The purpose of this m anual
is to alert everyone servicing Vendo equipm ent of potentially hazardous areas,
and to provide basic saf et y gu id elin es f or proper m aint enance.
This manual contains various w ar n in g s t hat should be carefully read t o
minim ize t he risk of personal injury to service personnel. This m anual also
contains service inf ormation t o insure that proper met hods are followed to avoid
dam aging the vendor or making it unsafe. It is also im portant t o understand
t hese w ar n in gs are not ex haustive. Vendo could not possibly know, evaluate,
or advise of all of the conceivable ways in which service m ight be done. Nor can
Vendo predict all of t he possible hazardous results. The safet y precautions
out lined in this m anual provide the basis for an eff ective safety program . Use
these precaut ions, along with the service m anual, when installing or servicing
the vendor.
We strongly recom mend a sim ilar comm itm ent t o saf ety by every servicing
organization. Only p er so n n el p r o p er l y t r ain ed in vendor servicing sh ou ld
h av e access t o t h e in t er io r o f t h e m ach in e. This will m inim ize t he potent ial
hazards t hat are inherent in electrical and m echanical devices. Vendo has no
cont rol over t he m achine once it leaves t he prem ises. It is the owner or lessor’s
responsibility to maint ain the vendor in a safe condition. See Sect ion I of this
manual f or proper inst allat ion procedures and refer to t he appropriat e service
manual for recomm ended m aintenance procedures. If you have any questions,

you. Refer to the listing at the back of this manual.
SAFETY RULES
· Read t he Safety Manual bef ore inst allation or service
· Test for proper grounding before inst alling to reduce the risk of elect rical
shock and fire.
· Disconnect power cord f rom wall outlet before servicing or clearing product
jam s. The vending mechanism can trap and pinch hands.
· Use only fully t rained service t echnicians for “Power On” servicing.
