Cards with chip must in principle be authorised on this terminal via the chip. In the case of a
reading error, the terminal will automatically prompt you to read the data by swiping the
magnetic strip reader, provided the bank has enabled the card for this.
In the case of credit cards with chip the decision is first made during the booking as to
whether the customer confirms the payment with signature or PIN number.
Blue: entries to be made by the customer.
Depending on the chip card being used, it is possible that additional inputs are expected by
the terminal. For example, an additional confirmation of the amount by the customer or the
switch to another language. Please follow the relevant messages in the display.
You can also call up all functions via the favourites list which is accessed by pressing
this field . The functions displayed (symbols) will depend upon your terminal's
range of functions. It is therefore possible that, deviating from these instructions, you will
have to scroll /several times) using the field to reach the desired function.
