Blind Hem
Secure the bottom of skirts and pants with a blind hem, this stitch will sew without
stitches showed on the right side of the fabric.
Blind hem for stretch fabrics.
Blindhemforrmfabrics.
1. Foldthefabricasillustratedwiththeleftsideuppermost.
2. Placethereversedfabricunderthepresserfoot.Turnthehandwheel(20)forwardsby
hand until the needle is fully to the left. It should just pierce the fold of the fabric. If it does
not,adjustthestitchwidthaccordingly.3/4.Adjusttheguide(3)byturningthedial(4)so
that the guide just rests against the fold. Sew slowly and guide the fabric carefully so that
itspositiondoesnotchangeinrelationtotheguide(3).
Blind Hem:
Turnupthehem tothedesired widthandpress.Foldback(asshowninFig.1)againstthe
rightsideofthefabricwiththetopedgeofthehemextendingabout7mm(1/4")totheright
side of the folded fabric.
Start to sew slowly on the fold, making sure the needle touches slightly the folded top to catch
oneortwofabricthreads.(2)
Unfold the fabric when hemming is completed and press.
