Summary

Operation

Activate Man Down Function

Press programmable key programmed to "Option SW 2" to activate Man Down.

Man Down Action Behavior

VX-450 (DVS-9) operates per CE104 programming when "Man Down" action is sensed.

Disable Man Down Alarm/Siren

Disable alarm tone via PTT or "Man Down" function via "Option SW 2" key.

Revive from Stun Status

Revive VX-450 (DVS-9) from "Stun" status using CE115 Programming Software.

Restart Man Down Function

Restart Man Down function by pressing "Option SW 2" key twice after an action.

Disable Man Down Function

Press programmable key programmed to "Option SW 2" to disable Man Down.

Installation Procedure

Prepare Transceiver for DVS-9

Turn off transceiver, remove case and battery pack before installation.

Connect DVS-9 Unit

Align DVS-9 connector with transceiver option board connector and press firmly.

Attach Cushion Sheet

Peel protective sheet and affix cushion sheet to DVS-9 as illustrated.

Complete Installation

Replace metal cover and screws. Installation is now complete.

Programming

Transceiver Programming (CE115)

Connect VX-450, upload config, set Key Function, Emergency, and Option parameters.

DVS-9 Unit Programming (CE104)

Execute CE104, activate "Sub Clone" mode, upload/download settings.

Configure Setup Parameters

Use CE104's SETUP tab to configure detection modes, alert tones, and voice storage.

DVS-9 Unit Adjustment

Factory Adjustment Note

DVS-9 is factory adjusted; adjust only if operation is abnormal.

Initialize Angle Alignment

Place radio horizontally, click ALIGNMENT, then START and OK to initiate.

Complete Alignment

Click OK to terminate alignment when successful. Close software and power off radio.
