This document is a user manual for a VEVOR Portable Power Electric Hoist, designed for lifting tasks. The hoist is branded with "TOUGH TOOLS, HALF PRICE," indicating its market positioning. The manual provides essential information for safe operation, technical specifications, and maintenance.

Function Description

The VEVOR Portable Power Electric Hoist is designed for lifting objects. It features a steel wire rope and a hook for attaching loads. The hoist can be operated using a positive and negative start switch, and some models include wireless remote control and manual control options. A load indicator provides feedback on the current load. The device is intended for industrial or heavy-duty lifting applications, emphasizing safety and proper usage to prevent accidents and damage. Usage Features

The hoist is designed for straightforward operation but requires strict adherence to safety rules.

  • Safety First: Users must read and understand all assembly and operation instructions. Overloading is strictly prohibited, as is lifting people or animals. The operating area must be kept clear of children and spectators.
  • Environmental Considerations: The hoist should not be used in environments with explosive or flammable substances, or in humid conditions. No part of the product should be submerged in water.
  • Structural Integrity: The support structure and load connecting device must be capable of withstanding the maximum traction of the product. Before use, a safety inspection is required, including a no-load test and adjustment of the lower hook.
  • Wire Rope Management: The steel wire rope's service life is dependent on proper usage. New products require the wire rope to be recovered and evenly wound to the drum under load. Regular oiling of the wire rope with a stiff brush or wood piece is recommended, avoiding direct hand contact. The wire rope should not be pulled beyond the red paint mark, reserving a safe length. If the wire rope shows signs of wear, knots, or damage, it must be replaced.
  • Load Stability: During operation, attention must be paid to the stability of the load to prevent shaking or rotation. Inclined pulling is forbidden.
  • Remote Control (if applicable): The remote control must be used within its specified distance and without obstructions. A red light indicates the wire rope's movement. If the remote control's power is low, or if there's interference, operation may be slow or delayed, requiring troubleshooting. The remote control should be kept away from water and humidity, and sharp objects should not be used to press its buttons. Batteries should be removed if not used for a long time.
  • Overload Protection: The hoist features a load display that approximates motor force. If the motor is overloaded, the product will stop, and two red lights on the monitor will blink until it can be used again. The load must be reduced in such cases. Repeated overloading can damage the product.
  • Duty Cycle: The hoist is designed for S3-25% working, meaning it should not be used continuously for extended periods to prevent damage to the motor and ensure safety.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and safe operation of the hoist.

  • Frequent Checks: The condition of the product should be checked frequently. Damaged products should not be used.
  • Component Inspection: All components, including the hook, must be in good condition. Any damaged parts due to accident or wear must be replaced.
  • Wire Rope Replacement: If the wire rope shows signs of wear or breaking strands, it must be replaced before further use.
  • Cleaning: The wire ropes and hooks should be kept free from contaminants. A clean towel should be used to wipe away dirt.
  • Carbon Brush Replacement: Carbon brushes will wear out over time and should be replaced by a professional.
  • Storage: When not in use, the product should be stored in a dry, clean, and protected environment.
  • Environmental Disposal: The product is subject to European Directive 2012/19/EC, indicating that it requires separate refuse collection in the European Union and should not be discarded with normal domestic waste. It must be taken to a collection point for recycling electrical and electronic devices.
