exercise extreme caution during and after the initial installation of the Lift
to ensure that it is working properly. Before installing, adjusting, or working
on the Lift, always secure and lock your tailgate in the upright position.
Check to ensure that there is not too much or too little lifting power on your
tailgate. Never apply excessive force to raise or lower the tailgate; it
should move with minimal effort in both directions. Always ensure that the
rollers are turning freely and that the cable is in good condition and travels
in the grooved portion of the rollers as it operates.
