10. Remote control programming
Caution: The remote controls can only be saved and deleted when the gate is stationary.
10.1 Saving a button on the remote control as step-step
- Press and hold down MEMO RX (P2).
- Holding down MEMO RX (P2), press the button of the remote control to save within 4 s.
- The RX LED will come on for 1 sec. to confirm saving.
- End of procedure. To save other remote controls, repeat the procedure.
10.2 Saving a button on the remote control as pedestrian
- Press and hold down MEMO RX (P2).
- Holding down MEMO RX (P2), press and hold PROG (P1).
- The RX LED will light up steady.
- Holding down MEMO RX (P2) and PROG (P1), press the button of the remote control to save within 4 s.
- End of procedure. To save other remote controls, repeat the procedure.
10.3 Deleting a single button on the remote control
- Press and hold down MEMO RX (P2).
- After 5 sec., the RX LED turns solid red.
- Holding down MEMO RX (P2), press the remote control button to delete.
- The RX LED will blink 3 times to confirm successful deletion
10.4 Total deletion of the receiver memory
- Press and hold down MEMO RX (P2).
- After 5 sec., the RX LED turns solid red, keep on holding down MEMO RX (P2).
- After 15 sec., the RX LED starts blinking.
- Release MEMO RX (P2) and wait until the RX LED goes out
- The 10 blinks of the RX LED confirm deletion of the receiver memory
Note:
the choice of receiver operation in Rolling Code or fixed code mode can only be done when the receiver is empty:
- if the first saved remote control is a Rolling Code remote control, the receiver will only work with Rolling Code remote controls
- if the first saved remote control is a fixed code remote control, the receiver will only work with fixed code remote controls
- to change the operating mode of the receiver from Rolling Code to fixed code and vice versa, first delete all the receiver memory
11. RX LED indicators
The RX LED is used for some installer indicators regarding the state of operation of the control panel.
The RX LED messages are listed in the table below:
Standard operation
Signal for Signal description
3 quick blinks Receiving an ELVOX radio rolling code not saved in the receiver memory
3 slow blinks Receiving an ELVOX radio fixed code not saved in the receiver memory
Remote control programming
Signal for Signal description
1 flash Programming a button on a remote control
2 blinks Attempt at programming a button on a remote control already present in memory
3 blinks Deleting a single button on a remote control
4 blinks Attempt at deleting a button on a remote control not present in memory
5 blinks Attempt at programming a button on a remote control with receiver memory full, button not saved
10 blinks Receiver memory totally deleted
12. Troubleshooting
Problem Cause Solution
The automation system does not
work
No mains supply Check the power line switch
Blown fuse Replace blown fuses with others of the same value
Control and safety inputs not working Check the safety devices
You cannot save the
remote controls
Safety devices open Check that the safety devices are not open
Batteries of the remote control discharged Replace the remote control batteries
Remote control not compatible with the first one saved
The first saved remote control configures the control panel
to save only rolling-code remote controls or only hard coded
remote controls
Receiver memory full, the courtesy light flashes 5 times
Delete at least one remote control or add an external recei-
ver (the maximum capacity is 60 radio codes)
During calibration the motor starts
and stops after 1 second
Encoder not present Check the encoder/motor connector is correctly plugged in
During travel calibration, the gate
does not open fully
Strong mechanical friction in the gate structure
Check that the door slides correctly and eliminate any
cause for friction
