The Visico FT-650RX and FT-650R are full-color pixel LED light panels designed for various lighting applications. These devices offer a range of features including adjustable color temperature, full RGB color control, and multiple special effects, making them versatile tools for photographers and videographers.

Function Description:

The Visico FT-650RX and FT-650R are LED light panels capable of producing a wide spectrum of colors and effects. The FT-650RX model includes DMX 512 support and pixel effect modes, offering advanced control for professional setups, while the FT-650R provides core functionality without DMX. Both models feature CCT (Correlated Color Temperature) mode for adjusting white light from warm to cool, HSI (Hue, Saturation, Intensity) mode for precise color selection, and various special effect modes to simulate real-world lighting scenarios.

The CCT mode allows users to fine-tune the color temperature from 2700K to 10000K, along with a green/magenta (G/M) adjustment range of -100 to +100. This enables matching ambient light or creating specific moods. The HSI mode provides control over hue (0-360 degrees), saturation (0-100), and intensity (0-100%), offering millions of color possibilities.

Special effect modes are pre-programmed lighting simulations designed to enhance creative output. These include:

  • HUE LOOP: Cycles through hues.
  • CCT LOOP: Cycles through color temperatures.
  • INT LOOP: Cycles through intensity levels.
  • FLASH: Simulates a camera flash.
  • PULSE: Creates a pulsating light effect.
  • STORM: Mimics lightning during a storm.
  • POLICE CAR: Simulates police vehicle lights.
  • TV: Replicates the flickering light of a television screen.
  • PAPARAZZI: Simulates camera flashes from paparazzi.
  • FIRE: Mimics the warm, flickering glow of fire.
  • DISCO: Creates a dynamic, colorful disco light effect.
  • BAD BULB: Simulates a malfunctioning light bulb.
  • FIREWORKS: Replicates the burst and fade of fireworks.
  • EXPLOSION: Simulates a sudden, bright explosion.
  • WELDING: Mimics the bright, intermittent light of welding.

The FT-650RX model further expands creative possibilities with 12 pixel effect modes, including HUE LOOP, CCT LOOP, INT LOOP, MULTICOLOR, FADE, PROCESS, SCROLL, FIRE, RAINBOW, DRIVING, POLICE CAR, and AMBULANCE. Some pixel effects like PROCESS, FIRE, and DRIVING are exclusively controllable via the VISICO LIGHT APP. When pixel 1 is selected, the entire light fixture displays one color, while selecting pixel 4 allows for four distinct colors across the fixture.

Usage Features:

The light panels can be powered either by the included AC adapter or by two NP-F970 lithium batteries (not included) for portable use. The power switch allows selection between AC (I side) and DC (II side) power.

Operation is managed through a set of function buttons and a rotating regulator on the back panel.

  • SET Button: Used to switch to the SETUP interface and confirm selections.
  • MODE Button: Repeatedly pressed to cycle through CCT, HSI, effect, and Pixel Fx modes.
  • UP/DOWN Buttons (▲▼): Used to navigate function options within modes.
  • Rotating Regulator: Used to select languages, effects, or change parameter values (e.g., DIM, HUE, SAT, CCT, G/M, SPD, COLOR).

The device features an intuitive display for settings and feedback. The default language is English, which can be changed to Chinese via the SETUP interface.

DMX Control (FT-650RX only):

The FT-650RX supports DMX 512 for integration into professional lighting systems.

  1. Connect the light fixture to a DMX console using a DMX adapter cable (not included).
  2. Set the DMX mode (RGBWY, RGB, or WY), DMX address (001-512), and DMX pixel value (1 or 4) via the SETUP interface.
  3. In DMX control mode, the DMX output of the last light fixture in a chain should be connected to a DMX terminator (not included) to prevent signal interference.
  4. DMX control and the VISICO LIGHT APP cannot be used simultaneously; DMX takes precedence.

VISICO LIGHT APP:

Both models can be controlled wirelessly via the "VISICO LIGHT" app, available for download from the App Store (iOS 9.0 or superior) or Google Play Store (Android 5.0 or superior). The app provides remote control over all functions, including CCT, HSI, special effects, and pixel effects (for FT-650RX).

Physical Design:

The light panel includes barndoors (11) for shaping the light output, magnetic holders (13) for attaching the diffusion panel (15), and a swivel frame (14) with locking screws (8) for adjusting the tilt angle. It also features a Ø16 hole (9) and fixing screw (10) for mounting on a light stand. Battery compartments (5) with release buttons (6) are located on the back for easy battery installation and removal.

Maintenance Features:

  • Safety Precautions:

    • Do not place flammable materials near the unit.
    • Avoid using in environments with moisture or flammable vapor, and do not use in rain.
    • Do not expose components to direct sunlight for extended periods.
    • Do not use if the cover is damaged, or if the unit has been dropped or damaged; always have it checked by a professional before use.
    • Do not restrict air vents during operation.
    • Do not attempt to disassemble or service the unit to avoid electric shock.
    • Avoid direct eye exposure to the light at short distances to prevent visual impairment.
    • Keep out of reach of children.

  • Battery Management:

    • When removing batteries, press and hold the battery release button to prevent damage to the compartment.
    • Charge batteries promptly when power is low to prolong battery life.
    • Note that the LED light does not charge batteries when both battery and AC adapter are connected simultaneously; a separate charger is required for battery charging.
