These manual belong with this product. It contain important informations for putting it into service
and operating it. This should be neted also when this product is passed on to a third party. It is
assumed that the user has basic knowledge of handling measuring instruments, power supplies
and PCs. Store this manual carefully for future reference.
Introduction
Dear Customer,
The DPS is a programmable switching power supply for home and hobby use, built to the latest
technological standards.
Construction is according with VDE0411 = EN61010. Moreover, the DPS has been EMV-
tested and fullfils the requirements of the applicable European and national directives.
Conromance to these has been proven; the relevant statements and documents are
sodged with the manufacturer.
To maintain this condition and guarantee safe operation, the user must without fail obsere these
operation instructions!

Intended use
Connection and use of low-voltage-loads with an operating voltage between:
DPS-2010: 0 – 20VDC; 10A
DPS-4005: 0 – 40VDC; 5A
DPS-8003: 0 – 80VDC; 2,5A
The Switching Power Supply is only suitable for connection to earthed 230V 50Hz AC power
sockets.
Operation mustn‘t take place under unfavourable ambient conditions.
Unfavourable ambient conditions are:
- moisture or excessive air humidity,
- dust and combustible gases, fumes or solvents,
- thunderstormes or storm conditions such as strong electrostatic fields, etc.
Any other use, than as described above, can lead to damage to the unit; in addition this is
accompanied by danger such as short circuit, fire, electric shock, etc. No part of the product may
be modified or converted! Please note all the the safety instructions!

1. 4-mm safety sockets for negativ connection „-“
2. 4-mm safety sockets for positiv connection „+“
3. 4-mm safety sockets for earth connection
4. „POWER“ AC switch for switching the power supply on („1“) and off („0“).
5. Encoder-wheel for changing the U (Voltage), I (current), P (Power) parameter settings.
6. Keypad for actual operation of the DPS. The exact description follows below.
