with the „CE“ key. As result of this the previously-set value will be indicated, to exit the setting
menue press „ENT“ – „P-const“ stop flashing.
CAUTION!
The power limit setting will adjust, regardless wether current limit is setted,
automatically the output current „I“. The setted voltage limit will be kept.
C.) „KEY INPUT“ settings
Using the „u“ key , the output voltage can be adjusted up to the setted upper voltage limit directly.
Each imput via the „LIMITS“ keypad is completed with the „ENT“ (enter) key (see B1 – B3).
Any incorrectly entered limit-value can be resetted with the „CE“ key (see B1 – B3)
The size of each setting step can be changed by using the „N“ (normal/course) and „F“ (fine) key.
The both keys are connected with a so-called mutual combination. If you press „N“ than „fine“
disappears in the LCD, if you press „F“ the fine adjustment is active and „fine“ appears in the
LCD.
Pressing the „L“ (lock) key locks all keys and the encoder wheel against inadvertently
adjustment. Only the power switch (4) remains active. Locking is indicated by the „locked“
symbol in the bottom line of the display. If the „L“ key is pressed again (approx. 2 sec), the
operating elements are released again (unlocked).
D.) Adjusting the Output
The output of the DPS can be switch on or off via a relay with the „I/O“ key. The satus of the
output is shows at the bottom line of the LCD. After switching the DPS on with the power switch
(4), the output is always switched off (safety reason).
E.) PC connection, „REM“ key
The DPS have a RS-232 interface (9) on the backside of the unit. With an interface cable and a
software (option) the communication with a PC is possible. The interface is indirect-coupled via
an optocoupler. The „REM“ (Remote) key enables to control the DPS, besides the power switch,
via PC. After pressing the „REM“ key, the symbol „remote“ appears at the bottom line of the LCD.
Because of this, same as „L“ (lock), all operation elements (exept power switch) are locked
against direct input. After pressing „REM“ key again (approx. 2 sec.), the operating elements are
released again and the communication to the PC interrupt.
Disposal
Dispose the irreparable DPS according to the valid law!
Rectification of faults
With the DPS, you bought an item which constructed to the latest technological standards.
However, faults can occor. Because of this, the following describes how some problems can be
solved easily.
Problem Possible solution
No display Is the DPS switched on? Have the AC power cord good contact with the
DPS and the power socket? Are the fuses OK?
no input possible „REM“ or „L“ key pressed (point C or E)
