If anything happens
Pedal must be depressed with great force
before clutch will disengage.
Check/rectify:
– Check the level in the clutch fluid reservoir.
– If low, fill to correct level. Depress the clutch pedal and
watch for leaks in the hydraulic lines.
– Keep the clutch pedal depressed for two minutes. Dur-
ing this time, the servo cylinder piston should not return
to its rest position. If it does, check whether there is hy-
draulic fluid leaking from the servo cylinder. If the piston
returns without any visible leaks, there may be air in the
hydraulic system or the seals on the master cylinder may
be damaged.
– If there only a minor leak or no leak at all, fill to the correct
level with clutch fluid.
– Rectify any leaks.
– Check and adjust the stroke of the servo cylinder.
– Change leaking seals in the servo cylinder.
Symptom:
No declutch when pedal depressed.
