178 Heating and Air Conditioning
Cab Air Filter
Air going into the cab passes a filter lo-
cated on the right, front side of the cab.
Remove the filter and clean with an air gun
(no more than 20 psi pressure) after 40 000
miles (64 000 km), (in dusty conditions as
often as every 10 000 miles [16 000 km]).
Make sure the air stream is directed from
the inside out.
The filter should not be cleaned and reused
more than once. Replace with a new filter
after maximum 70 000 miles (110 000 km),
or earlier if driving in dusty conditions. A
clogged filter decreases the efficiency of the
air conditioning system.
