L & M — Forward & Rear Drive Axle Oil Temperature (option)
The gauges are connected to temperature
senders installed in the axles. Normal oper-
ating temperature range is up to 250
F
(120
C). If average oil temperature consis-
tently goes above 250
F (120
C), more
frequent oil changes are needed or an oil
cooler could be installed.
CAUTION
A sudden increase in oil temperature
that is not caused by a load increase
may indicate mechanical failure. Bring
the vehicle to a safe stop where the
problem can be checked. Do not operate
vehicle until correcting the problem.
