Can the airbag be deployed acci-
dentally?
The complete SRS system is constructed so
that the airbag only inflates in particular
collision conditions. The SRS system has
its own diagnostic unit which continuously
monitors the functioning of the system.
Make a habit of checking the SRS system
telltale light when starting and driving the
vehicle.
Heart of the Volvo safety system
The three-point anchored safety belt is
the heart of the Volvo safety system. The
belt should be worn at all times. The SRS
system is intended as a supplement to the
three-point anchored safety belt.
