4.7 Removing & Installing the Fuel Tank
Prerequisites
Engine shut down
Engine cool
Plug for fuel hose
Wire ties
Removal
procedure
Follow the procedure below to remove the fuel tank.
1. Disconnect the fuel hose from the engine and plug the hose (a).
2. Cut the wire ties that secure the fuel hose to the wiring harness.
3. Remove the screws (b) that secure the fuel tank to the frame.
4. Pull the fuel tank from the frame.
Installation
procedure
Follow the procedure below to install the fuel tank.
1. Position the fuel tank onto the frame.
2. Secure the fuel tank to the frame with screws (b).
3. Connect the fuel hose to the engine.
4. Secure the fuel hose to the wiring harness with new wire ties.
The procedure to replace the fuel tank is now complete.
