Item # 1 applies to all Heavy Duty deck models EXCEPT DSD52
and DSD62.
1 Apply Loctite
®
Threadlocker # 277 (Red) to Item # 1 used
on Heavy Duty Gearbox Connector Tubes. Torque to
115 in-lb (13.0 N
·m).
DGHS & DSD Deck Assemblies
Items # 2 & 3 apply to all deck models EXCEPT DSD52 and
DSD62.
2 Apply Loctite
®
Threadlocker # 242 (Blue) to P/N F211
(1/4-20 x 7/8 Hex Bolt, used on Gearbox Connector Tubes)
prior to assembly. Torque to 90 in-lb (10.2 N
·m).
3 Torque P/N F018 (5/8-18 Hex Nut, used on underside of
blades) to 60 ft-lb (81.4 N
·m). DO NOT apply Loctite
®

DSD52 & DSD62 Deck Assemblies
4 Apply Loctite
®
Threadlocker # 242 (Blue) to P/N F114
(5/16-18 x 5/8 SQH Set Screw, used on Drive Pulley) prior
to assembly. Torque to 190 in-lb (21.5 N
·m).
5 Apply Loctite
®
Threadlocker # 242 (Blue) to P/N F076
(3/8-16 x 5/8 SQH Set Screw, used on U-Joint Shaft Assy,
T-Scope) prior to assembly. Torque to 400 in-lb (45.2 N
·m).
6 Torque P/N F339 (5/16-18 x 3/4 Self-Tapping Bolt, used
on Mount Braket & PTO Guard) to 200 in-lb (22.6 N
·m).
DO NOT apply Loctite

7 Apply Loctite
®
Threadlocker # 242 (Blue) to P/N F226
(5/16-18 x 7/8 Hex Bolt, used on Right Angle Gearbox)
prior to assembly. Torque to 18 ft-lb (24.4 N
·m).
NOTE: Models DGHS48 and DSD52 are shown here. Refer to
individual deck assemblies for exact locations and quanti-
ties of items listed above.
